While having my circuit upgraded and pickups changed on my 60s CV Strat, I asked my local guitar tech to rewire the whole thing and turn all three dials into volume knobs and bypass the selector switch completely. He advised against it, but reluctantly carried out my order.
The result is great, but totally unpredictable, I get some great sounds with all three PUs engaged. The knobs now provide an enormous sweep, with an amazing array of tones available on the smallest of adjustments.
Anybody else had a similar setup, and good/bad experiences, or any crazy ideas for the now redundant pickup switch?
