Oh boy. Waking up to the fact I woke up at my ex girlfriends house this morning:eek:. Ooops. This could be good or bad. This one is a wildchild badgirl chola. It was good, the question is will it get bad. 🤣

I'm that one that her kids like and the one who got away. Were not on the same page a year ago, she seems to have grown a bit. We are/were like the odd couple. Me 6ft no tattoos irish european. Her, spanish, 5'2 covered in crazy tattoos, scars from fights, etc.

I just want to be alone and rock out but miss decent companionship from a partner eh.

Few hours of part time work this evening after business hours maintenance then home and relax my crap body with the rain moving in I feel like my entire body is in a vice.

Sounds like your emotions are in a vise, too. Better sort that out. Every minute spent chasing after the wrong is a minute you're unavailable for the right.

I never learned how to water plants.
Youre supposed to spray the leaves of the bushes right?
My aim was bad. I mostly got 2 of the 3 cars wet that the neighbor across the street has parked in front of my house.
Its the neighbor with the 5 cars, 2 garages packed full of stuff so no cars fit in them, a driveway that if you think outside the box is actually wide enough for 3 cars side by side in front of their 2 separate garage doors, and also the little spot to the side of their driveway that is pretty much a dedicated parking spot in front of their place that no one else parks in because it seems like its their yard. You know that type? Its a couple and one of their adult aged kids who hasnt moved out yet.
There's only one of that households cars currently on their side of the street, parked alone in the big wide driveway at the moment.

Anyways after my sloppy job watering i tried to clean up leaves with the leaf blower but i was bad at that too. Mostly just blew leaves and dirt out of my yard towards the street. Well, maybe I didn't do such a bad job after all. My yard looks great. The only thing bringing down curb appeal is the three filthy cars in front of my house that are parked on top of piles of leaves. In fact the only spot I could rake leaves up was right in front of my gate, where the neighbor left a just almost big enough space between his car and a telephone pole to where a normal size car can not fit.

I could cram my small car in there but it would be wedged between a pole and another cars bumper which blocks off access to my gate, and I don't want the mailman to have to push his way through a bush or climb over a car to get to my yard, so no car is parked there.

Usually the neighbors are decent enough to leave me a space in front of my gate, at least most the family. Lately theres been cars parking up a little too far and not leaving enough room. I don't think its on purpose. The guy is an idiot.
Suddenly forgot how to park his car in the same spot hes been parking for years and is half car length farther up.

I dont think he knows when hes being a jerk, but I know when I am.

Also I put some flowers i had potted into the ground, and later today I'll visit my folks for a bit, and play guitar.
Havent touched a guitar in a week probably.
Yesterday I did a ton of stuff, so today will be more relaxing.

You forgot to do your edging, and then to blow the edging dirt and mud towards the street as well, since it is biodegredable the sewer and sewage will break it down, you will be helping the environment, keeping your neighborhood clean and keeping up with code.

Just sayin.

I have time to myself at home today. Mowed the lawn and cut some broken branches down. It’s hot. My wife’s at a baby shower and the youngest is back at school getting dolled up to interview potential sorority mates.

So I commandeered her tanning pool. It was either that or I was off to the range to target shoot. This I can do with a drink. And Amy Winehouse . Too bad nobody’s around to bring me a straw.

Looking at our first triple digit day...the grass is brown and crispy...two months ago we were kayaking down the streets...today will be spent indoors....outside for a deck party once the day's high is history...might make a few strings vibrate while I'm waiting it out...

I know what ye mean. We're under red flag conditions (hot & dry with some irregular gusty winds) meaning we are high risk for
wildfires. I may have to start watering parts of the lawn in the predawn morning.

As ye can see along the far edge of the lawn where it is shadowed by the wall and hedge where the few faint fairy sprinkles of raindrops doesn't reach the grasses there, it's turning dry and crackling like straw. Heck the birds there are rooting thru the dirt going after the bugs which ain't helping because they're loosening the dry top soil which gets blown away in the gusty winds.

we have a spot that I just fried again due to lack of watering. We have a lot of trees and shade, but not on this spot. The sun reflects off our bedroom window. I haven’t watered regularly in years, but maybe this spot next year.

Yeah...we went from record rainfall for the YTD through June...to not a drop since the first of July...we have been here for 9 years now...through the beginning of the summer our "yard" had never looked so green and full...now it is a dusty, dry expanse of native Arkansas vegetation...every year here has been different...spin the wheel...what comes next...we are in the outer reaches of the New Madrid seismic zone...it has shown some activity in recent times...hang on...

Hiding in my room with all the fans running and all windows wide open until the sun sinks past the tops of the mountain ridge to the west of me. Then I'm gonna water the lawn then take a cold shower and start prepping for the party tonite.

Hiding ain't exactly accurate, I've been working on my room itself. Nice to be able to walk normally instead of hopping from one open spot to the next! 😅

Well, nevermind waiting for the early sundown, I got shanghaied into helping out with the cleaning prep early. They decided to ha' an early start, …during the worst part of the day's mid afternoon heat. 🥵😅

Now sitting with the dog outside trying to cool off and dry out in the fitful breeze we're having right now.
