Tis nearly 430am, so I'm just browsing Squier-Talk and getting ready to sack out altho I KNOW the dog's gonna wake me up at 6am to let him out for pee pee time. I'm house/dog sitting for the Family while they're on an extended Mainland trip. I'm nocturnal but been up during the day to service the dog. But he's also outrageously taking advantage of my nocturnal habits to get extra outside time at nights too. So I'm not getting much sleep, LOL!

After trying to get some sleep time in, I plan to try finish my room this weekend. But tis been brutally hot and humid the last few days with minimal winds to cool things down.

Respraying my Cabronita for about the third time this morning.

Some other domestic/plumbing duties replacing the drinking water inline filter, checking the pipework on the new washing machine and putting all the kick boards back under the kitchen units, plus a good old clean up while I was at it.

I met up with the guys for Friday coffee at lunchtime and more guitar/bass chat.

Then came home and put the Cabronita outside in the sunshine to help the fresh paint harden...except the sun made it blister. I did spot it in time and managed to 'massage' the two blisters down a bit, then put more clear on. I think I've got away with it.

Time to chill out this evening and indulge in a G&T as my wife got me another bottle earlier today, so it would be rude not to.

Just checked on the Cabronita and it's OK after today's work, panic and extra clear coats:

Playing guitar on the couch while net-surfing and having coffee with my wife.
The youngest stepdaughter and her fiance are on their way in, as is the other stepdaughter and the grandbaby.
I hope to get more project guitar work done, and finish up that wall rack for the grandbaby's hairbows.
Dinner later with the youngest and her man to celebrate their engagement.
Beautiful day here so far, windows and doors wide open this morning.

Lots of little DIY jobs I've been meaning to do for a while, but a lingering cold has sapped my enthusiasm. A bit on the back of the Cabronita today in between other jobs.

Got the suitcases out of the loft so we can pack for an upcoming holiday in Spain with our eldest, her husband and the Grandkids. (We have booked an extra 10 days on our own for when they've gone so we can chill out :D ).

Chillin' with our little lady while Momma gets some much needed sleep. I'm going to need more coffee.

Meet the brother in law later for lunch. Disassemble the LesterCaster later for it's next transformation. At 8, we toast to my oldest son. He would have been 39 today.
Allow me to raise my cup to your lost son brother.

I'm caring for my wife. She was watering the Junipers and a yellow jacket nailed her just above the lip and to the side. A baking soda poltice, cortisone cream, 2 Benadryls, and a bag of frozen peas have been applied. Amazingly, her face has not swelled up like a cantaloupe. I'm keeping an eye on her as she naps.

Other than that I'm working on a bathroom exhaust fan and sweating.

Have a great day dude. I hope it is a good one, thinking of you. I turn 39 in a few weeks. Reading that hits home a bit
