the affinity series have the thinnest body and neck right? I actually like the thin alder body of the affinitys but aftermarket tremblocks sticking out kinda sux.

How about Bullets? Do they have a thicker body? How about the necks? Ive stayed away from them cuz they dont have the 70;s style headstock

Here are the body thickness measurements that I took from some of my Strats :

1975 MIA Fender Strat - 1.77"
1995 MIM Fender Strat - 1.855"
1999 Squier Standard Strat - 1.78"
2000 Squier Affinity Strat - 1.625"
2008 Squier Bullet Strat - 1.70"
2010 Squier Bullet HH Tele - 1.625"

I'm sure the thickness varies a bit from guitar to guitar, but these are some ballpark thickness for your reference.

As far as neck thicknesses go, they tend to vary quite a bit too. If you're thinking about neck width, many of the common Standard, Affinity and Bullet Squier necks went to the current "narrow" width in 2000, excluding the fancier models.

what Im really looking for is a maple fb neck with 70's style headstock. The maple fretboards seem to be rare

maple is definately punchier than rosewood...and brighter too,i find that if i'm playing srv style blues,i'll want a rosewood fretboard so it's a bit warmer.

but of course it's all about what people hear individually...

thats funny, I find rosewood to be punchyier and maple to be more even loudness throughout the frets, more balanced
