I have been all over amazon and all I can find are plastic or tapered rings.

Stewmac makes them but they are $22 each. Because tone metal? No they are die cast zinc:

Metal Humbucker Mounting Rings for Flat Bodies

Give your guitar a touch of flash with these great looking mounting rings for standard-size humbucking pickups.

More durable than stock plastic rings, ours are plated metal and highly polished. Mounting screws included. For guitars with a flat top surface. Sold individually.

Tapered rings are die-cast zinc.
3-9/16" x 1-25/32" (90.49mm x 45.24mm), available in two heights:
Low rings taper from 9/64" to 7/32" (3.57mm to 5.56mm).
Tall rings taper from 19/64" to 23/64" (7.54mm to 9.13mm).

Untapered rings are machined brass.
3-1/2" x 1-25/32" x 7/64" tall (88.90mm x 45.24mm x 2.78mm)

Order pickup height screws and springs separately.

I had a set that were advertised as flat but they certainly are tapered to keep the pickup at an angle.

I have the screws, springs, pots, jack, switch and two 9v battery holders.

This is the last hold up to modify the green SBS. The foam under the "body mount" pickups is passable but no.

If I cannot do this maybe it is time to consider making actual metal body mounts out of brass for the pickups and get them to the right height with the action/truss set take a measurement from the bottom of each E string.

So either pickups rings or figure out a way to body mount them properly so they are bodymount without giving FU tone eleventy dollars for brass strips.

Wat do?

I decided not to share goo with anyone and went with some max cheer for my guitar. Allegedly they are iron. We will see.

Why is that cool? I don't know yet let's find out, maybe it does something neat with the magnetic field like a telecaster bridge pickup baseplate and eddy currents. It probably does not.

IDK just a random guy who wants iron or steel over zinc plated.
