My new/used PRRI. Between this, my Pro Jr., Bassbreaker 15, with MP15 and SCXD for backup, I think my amp quest is basically over!

I've probably posted these elsewhere previously, but these are mine in reverse order of how much they get used:

Main gigging amp (ironically set clean and using pedals for dirt!). Marshall SV20h and a custom built matching 1x12 cab with a (UK built) Vintage 30 speaker:

Mini Plexi Stack.JPG

Fender '64 Custom Deluxe Reverb, handwired:

Powered up.jpg

Joyo Champ clone, swapped into a custom built Tweed Champ style cab with an upgraded speaker (Warehouse something or other):

Esquire & Champ 1.jpg

Marshall 2525h (before they started calling them 'Studio') Mini Jubilee head and matching 2x12 Cab. (Old photo from when I started converting our eldest's old bedroom into my music room):

Gibson corner.jpg

Marshall SC20c that I did a couple of gigs with, but quickly found it wasn't for me. At the time it made up the 'set' of Marshall Studio amps, so I guess I got hyped up with the idea of having the 'collection' (then they bought out another model anyway). Tried selling it on and off over the past 18 months, but only had scammers, low balls and sob stories, so it's still around, but never played:

Front view.jpg

I've got an Orange Stamp and a Vox MV30AC as back up heads I take to gigs, thankfully never needed them.

Marshall VS15, solid state, 8". I have been very happy with it.

Monoprice MP15. All tube, spring reverb, 12". It has a 1 watt setting to saturate tubes without rattlin' windows. Can gig a decent size venue, even over drums. I cannot say enough good things about it, but....

... It has to go. I am only keeping one amp in my downsizing.

My keeper is a Fender LT50 whiz bang digital, 12", tons of tones.

Honorable mention goes to my Honeywell mini, seen on the MP15. It is a great bench amp, great for pawn shops/flea markets/Kragslyst type meet-ups.

* There's no good transliteration of Fender into Hawaiian, the best I got was Penekele, which is pretty bad IMO. Penekele already exists for "computer". Penele might sound better, but that one is tied to "pencil". So I gave up and opted for his first name Leo, which could be directly transliterated into Leo in Hawaiian. The traditional meaning of Leo is "Voice", which is pretty good for a Fender amp. 😘 So, from this point on I'm using Leo to indicate a Fender amp. FYI, Marshall already has a Hawaiian form, Malekala, which sounds pretty decent. decent. Roland is transliterated into Lolana.

Not shown in the group pic is my '70s Marshall head cab that will hold my Mojotone Super Lead 100 head kit once I have the confidence level to build this expensive kit. Nor is shown my little practice combos which is a surprisingly good for their itty bitty size.

Yamaha GA-10 (1x4.5" 10W Combo)
---- YamahaʻIki (Little Yamaha)
It sounds pretty good for a tiny combo with a dinky 4" speaker. Much better than any other practice guitar amps I've seen/heard out there. I went to a place that had tons of used practice amps, and I spend a few hours going thru them until I found the one that sounded the best. This one. It was the loudest, cleanest and best sounding one, even tho there's others that claimed to have as much as 15 or 25Ws of power and having supposedly as big speakers. Hah!

I have a few others, but they're mainly spare parts and little toy amps like the Danelectro Hodad Mini. Altho I DO make use of the little First Act MA2039 because it is a battery powered amp first as my Field tester of potential guitar purchases, but after I got my EHX Headphone Amp, it got relegated to workbench duties as a quick sound tester, altho my Yamaha GA-10 sounds WAY better but it requires mains power to operate.

EHX Headphone Amp

EHX Headphone Amp, with my Field Test Kit which consist of my AKG K240 Headphones, some guitar cables, the EHX and …oops, just realized I've put in the wrong pedal for this picture. It's supposed to be Behringer's copy of the TS808, the TO800 in there, not the UM300 Ultra Metal, which is their clone of the Boss MT-2 Metal Zone. Mind ye, the UM300 is a decent pedal, and like the original, is a very flexible drive pedal.

First Act MA-2039 (1x2.5" 10Wpeak Battery Combo)
---- KaniLawe (Portable Sound)
FAME2039-CZS(3072x4096).jpg

This amp is supposedly a 4" speaker, my Pearly Whites! It looks more like a 2.5" to 3", if even that big. Nowdays I use it more as a workbench tester. I plug the guitar into it and check the guitar is still working or not. Which is pretty much not much different from when I was using it to test a guitar before buying it (minus the pedal). The EHX is smaller so it allows me to bring a pedal or two during the purchase trips.

To be fair the FM-212DSP is gonna have its head unit pulled out and swapped with the FM100H's head unit so it becomes essentially identical to the Frontman 212R. I don't like the DSP circuit which is introducing a noticable latency in the output (when I'm running dual outputs to both 212s there's a tiny but noticable delay in the FM-212DSP's output compared to the Frontman 212R. I like running a dual wet/dry rig with one amp getting all of the drive pedals and the other one getting the modulation pedals. I do the same thing with the Roland-60K and the Fender KXR-60. Roland being the gain amp and the Fender being the modulation amp.

Later on I'm going to put the amps on another Seville wire shelvings so I can permanently set the two 212s and the two 112s up as wired paired amps with the other amps in the middle left unplugged for more mobile use (grab n go play elsewhere). I need to remember to order and add in the 1/4" thick noise reducing sheets by weaving them into the shelving bottoms so they don't rattle when the amp(s) are on.

If you ever decide to part with that Silvertone Twin Twelve head, I'd like to be at the front of the line to purchase.

I'll keep ya in mind, but at the moment it's my only working valve head I have. She's surprisingly a LOUD one! Definitely need to use the Bugera Power Soak 100 to keep the dBs down while I get her to the edge of breakup.
