Hi
Just thought id drop in and introduce myself
live in Bristol UK, been playing on and off for over 30 years, (wow when i say it like that i should be a lot better than i am !!)
im basically a bass player ( double bass rockabilly/rock n roll)
but i love playing guitar to, obviously the same genre, but back in the mid 80's i did have go through the whole big hair metal band thing which is when i had my first Squier stratocaster, an early 80's which i had a Kahler trem and locking nut fitted (wish i kept it !!) at the time they were called cheap MIJ crap but it did the job very well until i could afford pointy headed charvel, when this phase came to end i moved back to rockin out with an old 6120 Gretsch which would only stay in tune for a couple of songs at a time, so at this point i bought my second Squire a re-issue 57 strat which after being set up professionally was an amazing guitar, unfortunately it was stolen after a gig where all the gear was in a van,
so to cut a long and boring story shorter i have been playing Squire guitars for many years, in my arsenal i have
st57 re-issue 1985 strat Japanese
jv p bass 1983 Japanese
cv telecaster Indonesia
cv telecaster bass Indonesia
telecaster standard Indonesia
cv strat Indonesia
affinity p bass China
showmaster China
and a squier partscater 80's stratbody/E seris teleneck (my favorite player) any how
if any one out there has an 80's Squier strat in yellow with black hardware (Kahler trem etc ) and wants to sell it make me your first port of call as i would love to find it
