I've been looking for a way to do this to all those SE's and older bullets that don't have any liner at all. Keep running up against that issue of the hole in the wood being smaller, and offset so that you can barely get the allen key into the nut, let alone have enough room to add 1/8 of walnut to the bottom. A machinist friend suggested a ball end mill to enlarge and center the hole to allow the walnut sleeve to fit and be concentric with the nut, but I figured out that it can't just be a straight bore, it's some kind of funky compound angle that is going to require a sliding jig to correctly position the neck, and I haven't had time to fab it up yet.

Welcome aboard that man!
A lovely modufication and very nicely written.... however, I suspect somewhere in there there is a letter 'e' missing which has changed the whole meaning of a phrase lol!!! If it isn't supposed to be there and was omitted deliberately, then I hope you had a good night hahahahaha!!!!!!
Lol, but great post
