Last project for a while - Peavey Predator

I’m not really a Strat guy but everyone needs one (or two). I was graciously gifted a ‘93 Predator that was originally white but had turned this fantastic shade of cream over the years. I wanted something different than a normal SSS Strat setup so it went as follows:

- Tuners were replace with Hipshot locking tuners
- Stock tremolo was replaced with a sturdier Wilkinson unit
- Custom pickguard from Warmoth
- Tonerider Rebel 90 pickups (P90’s obviously)
- Custom wiring harness with treble bleed on the volume (only a volume, tone and 3-way switch)
- Period correct knobs from a Peavey Nitro/Patriot

I’m thrilled with how it turned out, plays great and sounds fantastic. I now want treble bleeds on ALL my guitars….lol.

Not the fanciest guitar or most radical but I’m really digging it and thought I would share.

What values did you use for your treble bleed?

I bought it from Reverb already assembled, it was a 500k CTS pot with a .001 Uf orange drop cap and a 150 k ohm 1/4 watt resistor.

Thanks bud, yeah my current collecting obsession is Danelectro amps from the 90’s and 2000’s for whatever reason. Almost have them all!!

They’re usually pretty reasonable and the necks are fantastic. Only drawback is you can have any color you want as long as it’s red, black or white That’s why when I saw it had aged cream I was pretty stoked. Great modding platforms too!
