Does anyone have or tried one of these? They've been on sale at MF for $420 for awhile and it's breaking me down...lol I've been thinking about getting another LP to see if it takes this time. Oh, and Wine Red, Black or Gold? :)
Thanks!

It looks like a lot of guitar for the price. I’m not sure what a “worn finish” is. Out of all four colors, I would probably pick the blue, but out of the three you selected, I like the gold the best.

Not glossy, including the neck.

If I was interested in getting an archtop Les Paul, that would be the model I would get...in worn black, of course.

The one I played acoustically at the local shop had no relief and the strings had like a .5mm action, so I couldn't really judge it's playability. Still, too heavy and uncomfortable for my taste.

I bought the Gold Top last January and love it. It's very much like the '56, so a pretty chunky neck, to the wide side esp up 12 fret and on. Buckers kick-ass. The finish is less "worn" and more like "rough" or "unfinished" on top and the mahogany sides back and neck are open pore and you can feel it. not really a bad thing. i kinda like it, but have thought several times about taking a light grit sandpaper or scotchbrite to smooth out the neck some because i'll never play it long enough over the years for it to age naturally.

Oh, cool, thanks for the info, I was hoping for a chunky neck on these. You got the Trad Pro IV Worn or just the Classic Worn?

I might be pivoting away from this LP purchase right now tho cuz I just got USPS notice that my Wilde Noisefree Tele pickups are arriving this week. And, now I gotta find a home for those first. :)

Thanks for the info on this tho!

Can you take a photo showing that ?

I had a Godin LG like that and there was way too much grain texture to get it smooth. It was one amongst many things I didn't like about the guitar, so it went.

hey doc... cant right now. guitar is cased and at the other house. we move over there officially tomorrow. give me a couple of days for the dust to settle... :)
