My CV 50's Tele was named Beryl: I had to flog it to top up the bank acct for a mortgage payment.

My Black Standard Strat is named Blackbird, after an old friend of mine.

Agile AL3000 Cherry Sunburst Flame: "Chief" cause the finish reminds me of American Indian headdress for some reason...

Agile AL2000 2 Tone Sunburst w/ Rebel 90s: "Rebel" partly for the pups and partly cause its tone is kinda raucous and rude when the tone is dimed...

Agile PS100 Transparent Red w/P90s: "Zin" cause the color is similar to a good red zinfandel...

Squier CV50s Strat 2 Tone Sunburst: the only one unnamed yet... I love it so much, and play it as my number one Stratocaster, but just never found what fits yet...

Squier CV60s Strat 3 Tone Sunburst: "Sammi" cause it has a tortoise shell guard, and a friend of mine used to have a turtle named Sammi...

Squier II MiK Strat Black: "Blackie" cause I love Clapton's old Strat...

Yamaha APX700 A/E Desertburst: "Rose" cause she plays sweet, but sometimes she hurts my fingers...

Alvarez Dreadnought A/E Natural: "Shenk" cause I used to play it a lot at a bar called Shenk's...

Right now my Strat is just 'PSS' (Pawn Shop Special)
Once I have a little more invested in playing and tweaking it, I might find a new name.

"The Green Weenie" A long story, but heres the jest of it... went to a Jeff Beck concert in Colorado in the 90s with a friend of mine that owned a guitar shop... the next Monday, he asks me if I want to get in on an order for a JB signature Strat. I go "OK"!. One month later, 2 consectutively serial #ed surf green JBs show up at his shop. Wow, gave it to me at cost and it was one of those axes that I wish I'd never sold. All surf green strats have since been known as "green weenies".

"Spirit III" named after my late wife (who was always known as "Spirit" since we were 15 years old). "Spirit I" was her pickup truck (she'd always wanted, and I got her for a wedding present), and the "Spirit II", our Catalina 22' sail boat I got her for her birthday years ago. As for this Epi, it will be buried with me when the time comes...
