Custom Telecaster or VM Deluxe Tele

Right guys. I'm looking to cure some gas for a twin 'bucker telecaster.

I'm looking used...

Stuck between a Squier Tele custom made in Indonesia or the VM Deluxe Tele.

Anybody had an experience of both? Pros and cons?

I have played both and loved the way they felt and sounded. I own a Deluxe and the Custom is on my list too.

Like the neck on my telecaster deluxe. But it's just normal humbucker pickups under the wrhb covers. .
My telecaster custom suits me better for the most part. But I still love the deluxe neck .
Both are Great choices. .

At first I thought it was the bound body tele vs. the humbucker tele. I looked at pics and wow.. that is splitting hairs in the choice. I am tending to the Custom as you get a single and a humbucker -that's different than an HH or a standard tele.

I've had both (still have the deluxe, traded the custom to a member on here)and i would say the custom. It may just be mine, but the deluxe humbuckers (with NON WRHBs) are sub par. At least in my opinion.

The Custom that I have has a Seymour Duncan stacked humbucker ,its the brent mason one, but i forgot what model. Its pretty twangy i think. . So i guess its a double humbucker, although i don't hear it that way. But, the white one has a flatter neck.
If you like the vintage 9.5 radius neck, you might find a la cabron cheaper. . It rocks. But you may miss the tone control.

I dig those old wide range buckers...they have a tone that is pure magic.

no experience (just GAS) with either of these ... but for ME, I would choose the Tele that has the Tele neck (I have always thought tele's w/ Strat necks have a bit of a "whats wrong with this picture" feel to them)
