Thanks for those! Doesn't look badly put together from the pics, just standard pcb type stuff. What do the transformers look like IRL? No-name cheapest available type stuff? Not that it really matter, it sounds good, I'm just curious.
They're no-name Chinese transformers. I have no complaints, since I have transformers custom made in China for one of my products, and I've never had one fail.

I'm having trouble with my newish MP15. It sounds like EL84 tube rattle but it's not. I've swapped in several different tube sets, including the preamp tubes to no avail. It just plain sounds bad on lower sustained notes.

Well, EL84s are definitely prone to rattle in combo amps. Of several sets I have, most or all of them rattle unless I apply my steel rings glued on with silicone sealer cure. (see avatar). You could try holding the tubes with gloved fingers while someone hits one of the low notes and see for sure.
