Cool. I would need to make a template off my 2009 bullet I guess.
I have a delta scroll saw. What did you guys use to cut? I can't imagine a jigsaw being a good idea. I don't have a band saw

I feel like this would be a downgrade to me. I like the big cartoony CBS headstock. In fact, like 2 or 3 days ago I was looking at my Fender 40th Anv Strat next to one of my late 90s/early 00s Affinity Strats and thinking "Man, the real Fender's headstock looks so small and dinky."
All mine are cbs.except my bullet. I only have 2 squiers. The other 4 are starcasters

The Korean ones were off. Also is it just me or is the horn on some fenders at a angle more?

I just did a head stock reshape today, but I started with an ugly Johnson one and turned it into a passable Tele one.

That hefty scroll saw you have would be awesome for this job. I did use a jig saw, but the space limitations on the head stock make it a shaky proposition and possibly dangerous. I also used a coping saw. I have an oscillating spindle sander for the finishing and then a bunch of hand sanding. I have a few more pics of the job in progress.

I just came to this conclusion when I placed the bullet strat next to it. Geez20210905_233953.jpg 20210905_233938.jpg

rc_strat1967.jpg Before you make the final snip, I thought that I'd mention that Ry Cooder once said that the old CBS headstock, perhaps due to size, weight, or mass, resulted in increased sustain. Who knows, he might have something there. The blue, that he received from Fender, was up for sale on Reverb for $150,000.02b3444e7145325e8c9f7fe6f3717bb3--ry-cooder-fender-stratocaster.jpg
