Are you going to span the strings traditionally across the bridge to a trapeze tailpiece, or do you plan on anchoring them to the bridge by using a block? Very interesting so far.

I had a cigar box resonator with a steel dog bowl turned upside down.Cheap dollar store bowl.
Yep. both MGB and CB Gitty sell paint can lid resos, some spun, some flat. I've also found 7" spun copper cones.

How did the dog bowel work/sound?

How did the dog bowel work/sound?
It sounded really good.the bridge was actually a bolt with the head cut off and epoxied to the bowl.the strings would rest in the thread grooves like an old style Jazzmaster or Jaguar saddle.There was a piezo under the bowl and a single coil in the body .It could make some cool tones but I couldn’t.
