I remember playing Squier CV50 Tele at local store 5 years ago. It was so beautiful , bright yellow and shiny. When i have had Player Tele, it was a little darker yellow but still was really close to original 52 Blone Tele. I own CV50 Tele and i wish it had been much brighter. It is really dark yellow. Why can't fender keep its original colors? Pre 2018 and older CV50 Squiers had proper yellow color, not amber or orange. Yellow, just like it supposed to be. I can understand it may vary but c'mon. WHy change perfect yellow like banana color to dark yellow, amber or light orange. Especially older affinity teles were orange.... hated it

This is what it should be

I don't understand...yellow is yellow, and butterscotch is butterscotch.
    Butterscotch is not "banana" yellow.
You want a butterscotch guitar but you want it to be yellow not butterscotch?

The newer CV's are supposed to look aged, so that's why they put the darker laquer on the fretboard as well. The original Telecasters were not "butterscotch" or yellow, but just plain blonde. It was a very polular furniture finish during this time that was readily available. Same reason why they used Sunburst. Butterscotch came later, and should not be confused for yellow, as the yellowing came from age. However, there were no set in stone standards for Fender finishes throughout the 50's so they vary a lot.

Then you want Squier 'White Blonde' - but it won't age like the old nitro did....it will not turn yellow.....

I like the BSB finish on my 2015 Classic Vibe 50s. Not too yellow and a lot of depth. Some models that I've seen are far too yellow to be called butterscotch. Not that I have anything against yellow guitars.

The CVs from that era have very good pickups. I have never considered changing them.

Great Chunky neck (43mm) at the nut, but also chunky all the way up like smaller a P-bass neck. Light sycamore body (guitar is under 6 lbs), great spanky ceramic pups that are not classic Tele tone, but Unmistakably Tele. It’s my “stock” Tele. Great finish, and mine is rounded on the edges (not all of them are,
Most are a hard edge like a Fender). I have two extra necks (the ONLY extra necks I own). Normally around $150 USD, I got mine on a sale for under $100 ($72 I think).
