About 3 weeks ago I picked up my first CV 60's Strat. I absolutely LOVE that guitar. It's the best made and best playing guitar I've ever owned. Lately I've been thinking about maybe adding a CV Tele. There's a bunch of models out there and I'm not sure which one to get. I want a Tele in the stable for the classic Tele sound of early rock and for country. I'm hoping there's a version that has the slick, fast, and somewhat flat neck that's on the CV 60's Strat.
    Which model would y'all pick?
    Thanks in advance :)

I'm GASing for a '50s Esquire, which I believe replicates (somewhat) the original. I am not sure what the original fingerboard radius was, probably 7.5. The current is a modern C with 9.5" which is fine with me.

Someone posted a link recently showing the new CV '60s Esquire with double bound burst. Salivation city. I'm so confused! Let us know what you decide.

I have to say that I'm blown away by the '50's CV Tele. It's all about that neck, so easy to play. The pick-ups do a fine job too. I really thought the You Tube gushing on this guitar would turn out to be exagerration but, right now, it's out-performing a Performer over here.

I’d have to say the CV Tele custom. I have one and it’s exceptionally good.

  7. Exactly! Not only does it sound great, that sunburst & double bound body is killer.

I have quite a few. My advice: choose the one you like the best. For me that's the 70's thinline tele, but you might have another preference.

I'd have to say the CVC. It is literally the only guitar I have ever regretted selling.
