Fender squier double bucker mustang. Just a great, easy to play shorter scale monster guitar that you can buy now. It reminds me of the early nineties jagstang. Great sound, and it's still available, but people won't figure out how cool it is until they have to pay 3 times as much for it. And they will.
Just got a Michael Kelly ‘53 Telecaster deeply discounted with some quality control issues I was easily able to resolve myself. Love it.
2016 Gretsch 2420t. It plays loud enough acoustically to play while wife & I watch tv without being disturbing and I can hear it better than an unplugged strat. I rotate my strats around btw the blue one and 3ts in sig pic. Also have a whte strat to mess with and building on a partscaster. That's everything but thte bass in the closet. Yamaha I think.
Thanks. I was impressed by the price, its build and sound, had to get it. Edit... but of course I’m in the honeymoon period, got a month to return it if I don’t bond with it.
Mine is great now but the bridge volume pot needed to be soldered and I decided to upgrade the bridge and tuner buttons because I had the parts. Needed to subtract and then add relief until I realized my 13th fret was high and needed a few gentle taps. Set it up a third time. Now its great. Really enjoying it and at about 1/3 the cost of the inspired by Gibson EPI LP '50s that I had my eye on.
My Squier Telecaster Bass, Fender Precision Bass Junior, Squier Telecaster Custom II P90, VM 70s Strat, and the Peavey JF-1. I put the Custom II and the VM70s Strat up on consignment Monday, and after playing the Tele all week and listening to customers demo it I am thinking about keeping it. I almost sold it today and I was panicking internally. I spent a couple of hours setting it up Monday, truss rod tweak, neck shim, set the action and intonation, took care of the fret sprout and cleaned up the ends then polished them. Polished it with some Maguire's to take out the fine scratches. Waxed it with some Music Nomad Guitar One. It is a fine playing and great sounding guitar now. The Strat is excellent, the fit and finish are at a higher level than the Tele. But I have 6 other Strats and they are even nicer.
