I have been a member for a decent mount of time but have not shown too much of my gear. Here is my Squier Surf Srat. Bought it new in 2015. Plays better than american fenders i have tried. Would never sell it, just like it too much. The band i play in was looking for a different sound than the stock lipstick tube pickups provided, so i changed them out (still have them they sounded awesome). I put in a set of Seymour Duncan P-Rails. Wired with mini toggles for each pickup so i can have whatever combination i want. Also flipped the bridge pickup around to get more of a tele sound from the rail. This guitar can do nearly any sound, but the good ear can tell it isn't perfect. Considering switching out the tremolo for something better.

FYI- to put a humbucker in the neck, you have to route out a bit.

Very nice looking Strat, but I'd doublecheck the intonation. :)

Funny, I had exactly the same thoughts!
That's a gorgeous guitar and you made some very special mods to it. :) I would love to hear how it sounds! :)

Yup, sound amazing! With the flipped bridge it does the Kieth Richards sound perfectly.

Ya, i dont recall what that was about, that picture is a few years old. Haven't changed anything major, but I did set it up better. currently rocking EB 11s.

I've used 11s in the past, but only when tuning down a whole step.

A few other things to note about this guitar-
-neck was not sticky like most poly finishes
-to use the cloth covered wire the wire channel to the output needs to be opened up
-best guitar i have ever owned (especially for only $300 new), could play gigs pretty well in stock form
-has gotten finish cracks around the neck pocket like many strats
    - stock tremolo/tuner set up sucks, would like some recommendations on good upgrades for these
    - stock lipstick tube pickups are slightly narrow and fit weird in a normal strat pickgaurd.
-am currently considering putting a white pearl pickgaurd back on it
-pictures dont do the surf green color any justice
