I’ve got a sort of eighties superstrat build going on and I’m looking for a black/white/black 3 ply pickguard with a humbucker bridge and one single-coil in neck position.
I’m wondering if you know of a USA source that does good work at a decent price?

Thank you very much. I have ordered eBay from
China. I prefer to buy locally but y’all were right, they had the item I was looking for.

Hi there, I recommend WD pickguards.. Its an American company who specialises in making pickguards whether its standard or custom made to your specification.. They are based in Florida and have been around since 1978..Although I live in the UK I ordered one from them for my STRAT.. It really is good quality.. Fitted perfectly no issues.. Give them a try if you wish.. Nothing to lose!!

Agree 100 percent. And they have a Dollar Deals and a Specials page, with lots of different pickguard configurations for just a few bucks usually. I recall recently seeing quite a few options for an HS configuration.

Nothing against WD but I would only seek them out if I was after something really unusual. Otherwise I would accept the reality of fill and redrill and then spend as little as possible.

I recently paid too much for a vintage pearl tele pickguard with a P90 neck. I scoured Ebay for a couple months but no luck.

I was just about to order some stuff from their Dollar Deals, but they raised their free shipping to $35.

Look closer. If you don't make the 'free' level, shipping is $5.

I used to buy a lot of Dragonfire pickups for my builds, but they really raised prices about a year and a half ago so I shifted to Guitar Madness. Still, now and then I'll buy something from Dragonfire (like the Wide Range Humbuckers they have on sale right now for $49 a set) and pick up a few Dollar Deals while I'm at it -- usually pickguards.

Hi BLUESQUIRREL- It's free delivery on purchases of over 25 GBP for the UK providing its an online order only... Delivery time was around 10 working days - it may vary for different countries and again if its a special custom order it can take longer - hope that will help you.. All the best!
