Wow. What is wrong with the world
What kind of guitar was killed?
Unfortunately the world is a very Sick Place. How a father can even point a weapon at his child is way beyond me.
If you don't like the sound of the Guitar get of your arse and go to another room.
Yep. I just dont understand. It's really sad and disappointing and disturbing. Evil is everywhere.
Maybe the guy should have shown his elderly father a little respect and stopped playing the freaking guitar?
If the child had been brought up right he would have.
If only that were true.
Both my children having been brought up by my late wife would never do anything except make sure I am well.
My son has protected me from harm for the last two Covid years. Doing my shopping etc so that I was never at risk. The love that exists between my children and me is never ending and totally unselfish. I thank the Lord for this blessing every day.
My three kids are the same and their kids too, but how kids are brought up doesn't guarantee that they all turn out good. Some of the sweetest children in history turned out to be monsters...
You and I are the lucky ones I guess.
By the way I was born in Salford, Manchester, Lancashire but I never played cricket so we can still be Friends
I got to agree with beagle. To disobey your father in his own house should be punishable by death. Kids today got it all backwards.
I won't hold being from the wrong side of the Pennines against you, you were awfully small at the time and couldn't do much about it. At least we're not fron "dahn sarf"...
Wow! Sounds like it may be related to drinking alcohol and a great big dash of stupid.
If I was that guitar, I’d move out.
TOO MANY GUNS!!
That’s sick.Would you shoot your own son ?
Right....... the gun did it.
gawd. just crazy. a dysfunctional family, no doubt.
when i saw the link and it was to the Kansas City Star, i kinda freaked thinking this was a local story i somehow missed.
Well of course, if only he had shown more respect and stopped playing the darn guitar, his own father wouldn't have to SHOOT him... This damned snowflake generation of mine that misses the whole point.
We aren't arguing whether his son, which isn't a kid but a grown 50 year-old man, acted well in keep on bothering his father. But is the son mentally ill? Or perhaps was giving shelter to his father in his own home and so felt in the right to play the guitar for as long as he wished?
Regardless the specificities of the situation, we got to agree the reaction is by no means reasonable to what led to it.
Oh right, the same way I didn't arrive late to work, my car did... Perhaps if I wasn't irresponsible with the way I use a machine, stuff would've turned differently. The gun didn't became self-aware and decided to shoot, the person holding the trigger did under poor reasoning.
I do agree that, while guns aren't inherently the problem, the free access to them by people mentally incapable of bearing the responsibility just might be.
Yes, two members were involved.
