As you can see from the title, this is a very difficult subject to get search results from…
If I recall correctly, there was a Vintage Modified Strat that was offered with a rosewood board. Then later came the VM 70s Strat that was also offered with a rosewood (later Indian Laurel) board.
Is my memory serving me correctly so far?? Other than color options, both guitars were pretty similar visually. What about under the hood? Were there differences in pickups used? Differences in control options?
I think I want another Strat (other than my 83 SQ that i will never mod). I saw Pearl Jam live a few weeks ago and I have a strong infatuation with McCready’s Strat tones at the moment. The Vintage Modifieds have always been my favorite Squier line… What can you all tell me about the two I mention above?
