Hi there I know this is not the best guitar to be upgraded but I decide to make some change step by step cause some stuff just decided to leave me. Here some pic of my guitar bought 30 box 6 years ago with a white brooke pickguard! I bought a new body for 36€ incluiding transport with a thinkness of 44mm, I also ordered new string locker for the begning. Step by step I will change the tremolo the electronic if I found a complete pickguard Fender mex.
Affinitys have a pretty narrow neck for my fat fingers but can be made better by spacing the strings out just a hair. I replaced the nut on both of mine with these. Sounds and plays better than the plastic nut that come stock. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009GT0KNI/?tag=squiertalk-20
Thanks man, I guess I will change for this kinf of nut or try to make one in bone. https://www.thomann.de/fr/warwick_nut_for_fender_style_e_guitar.htm?offid=1&affid=72
It might be an NC body, but it might be something else with the swimming pool rout. The problem with NC bodies is beyond being full size, one of 4 colors, SP route and 6 point trem, there is really nothing unique about them without their neckplate. I'm not saying it is not. Being a Squier NC is a probability with full size black, six point, SP rout, but there sadly is nothing that directly identifies the bodies dis-associated with their neckplate and neck. Looks like a decent black body. What did the seller say about the body? Year can make a difference.
Nothing from the seller but with the serial I fiund in squier wiki all the information but nothing for the body, looks like aulne but not sure. The neck also show the date of 2002. The new one I have bought is bigger but the wood looks less dense that the Squier one. Any idea, I'm totaly confused, witch one shoud I use. I will add some pick of the new one but I need to sand a bit. Here some pic.
I have fininshed the shelding of the pickguard This is the potentiometer, I don't know if they had been changed by the seller.
