All these posts lately about Epi LP Special P90s got me going, even though i have a TV Yellow model, this Spc 1 is a 2012 Worn Red and i'm GAS'N!!! Wish me luck fellas. I'd like to have it!! Feel like @Eddie! 😍 😍

Update: So far, no response from the seller on my offer. Meanwhile, another offer was made on it. Without hearing from the seller I'm reluctant to just buy it outright, lest the transaction not go through for some reason.

So... sitting tight for now. Since I already have one of these, it won't be the end of the world if I don't get it... but I reallllly like these in this color!

Does someone have a recent one, that same bolt-on neck. I'd like to know their P90 readings.
2012 are 7.4K-9.2K.
I don't have one of those, but my new Epi special I just did the NGD post on reads: Bridge 7.7K..........Neck 7.3K. One of the reasons maybe it sounds so sweet. I like lower wound pups.

maybe this is what i like about P90s... how do you measure it? and is k = ohms?
No. K is thousands. If you have a meter, set it to 20K (20,000) ohms. You can do it from guitar cable if you want to. A little easier. Plug the cable into your guitar. Put your pickup selector switch on the pickup you want to measure. On the other end of the cable, put one lead on the tip and the other lead on the sleeve. You'll get a reading of something like maybe 7.9, 8.7 or something. That would be like 7.9 thousand ohms, and so on. The pickups are wired in parallel, so the middle switch position will read half of what the single pickups read.

On my 2020 Special like yours they were 7.85K bridge, 7.75 neck, as it should be, it's the same guitar.
On my 2018 Special (not the Special 1) with bolt-on neck though, they read 9.5K bridge, 8.0K neck. Quite a difference, which makes me believe Epiphone has more than one kind of P90.

Yes, they (Korea) made some A2's in some older Models and some A5's. :D

Could they have started earlier?
I think I remember reading posts of Squier Talk members who had gotten the same guitar in 2009-2010.
I think 2011 was the first year or maybe 2012. This was one of the first review that had me looking for one.

But there were set neck single and double cut Specials and Juniors before that. I have a 57 Reissue from 2006.

And had that 1995 one for a while.

Nice! Were the pickups the same as the post 2011 LP S I P90?

Ps Unfortunately the link to the review didn't work on my side of the ocean.
