This is actually somewhat of a NUGD post. I bought this to flip...straight up Its an almost Squier, a DeArmond M-77T. As I recall, when Fender purchase DeArmond some of these became M-75s and M-77s. It has the DeArmond USA pickups and DeArmond Bigsby style term arm. It needed a little work when I bought it. As I said, I bought to flip. But it plays and sounds awesome!! Oh, what to do....

If I like the way a guitar sounds and plays, the decision has been made.

Keep playing it until you don’t want to play it anymore. Then sell it! Easy peasy!

    Nice guitar by the way.

Don’t think I’ve seen a LP type with a bigsby before, that’s pretty cool and it’s black... it’s black!

Funny thing is I am not a huge fan of black guitars. Even made a post here about it once in these forums...and I seem to end up with quite a few black guitars,

HNGD, somewhat! We do not see these often. Rock that baby.

I've had two Squier M-77s. Neither had a Bigsby, both had Duncan Designed sweet sounding pups. Yes, the Squier M-77's lineage comes from DeArmond; the bodies are identical. The hardware and pups are different enough for each to be unique.

The necks on mine were flat and killer sweet. I have regretted selling both but neither fit into my 'must have 4' which I plan to expanding to 5 one day. Maybe.

Yes the neck is nice and flat and very nice. I wanted to flip it to build the stash for an explorer type or SG type guitar (Or maybe even one of the Gibsons like @duceditor has been raving over. One can never have enough guitars on one hand, but.... at any rate, it is a unique guitar

I would keep that one for sure. You just don’t see many like that for sure. Play some Gene Vincent!!

Might as well keep it around for awhile and see how it shapes up. Black guitars are like stray cats & dogs. From time to time they are gonna turn up, and sooner or later you're gonna let another one of em in...

You bought the guitar to flip. You cannot become emotionally attached to the item. It is a business
You must be cold and non-feeling. It must go. Send it away. Do not look back...

Or keep it, love it stroke it and put it back in the closet.

Majority of my guitars are black - color never had a factor in the decision to keep them ? How they sounded and played made me keep them . This checks both boxes - feels great , sounds great - kinda rare ? I look at a guitar like this and I say " will I ever see another one - and will it be in the same shape or better "

Pretty great guitar ! Congrats ! whatever you do !
