    Don't laugh...:D

I wanted a mini amp to keep at my computer area, so when the wife is working in the office I won't bother her. Well, whatever I do, I bother her.

I researched a bunch of the minis, and this one seemed to be the best for my needs. It's small. and it's cleans are actually quite good...impressively good. However, it all falls apart when adding gain. Not a problem, because I did not buy it for gain.

Anyway, I got it new and a lot cheaper than what they go for.

Here it is in all it's glory!

Congrats on the new little amp. It looks pretty classy. I have the Fly3 and it's got good jazz cleans and pretty decent gain sounds in addition to a useful delay effect.

Cool beans, Jason! I have a Danelectro Honeytone. It serves its purpose.

I got one of those, it was modded with a speaker out jack. When I find it, I'm going to plug it into my 4x12 cab :D

I assume it's solid state from your description of how it sounds when it distorts.

I had one of those, too. It served two purposes for me actually; I found it equally effective as a door stop and as a paperweight.

As an amp, it would turn itself off after a few minutes of my playing. I gave it away.

There is a user review at MF that succinctly describes the tones this mini puts out, am I allowed to cut-and-paste that review???

Otherwise, it is a 6 year old review titled "Solid State 1w 2x2", the sixth review down from "Most Helpful".

    I don't want to get in trouble...o_O

Are we not allowed to quote other reviews here? Maybe you can paraphrase. Unlike GC or Sweetwater, MF always seems to misdirect/block non-US visitors (UK atleast) from viewing content properly. I can’t even pull up the amp if I search for it!

I’ve got a blackstar fly 3 myself which does a job, nice cleans and a really good tape delay.

I don't know, that's why I pause in going forward with a copy and paste.

I'll PM you a copy and paste of the review.

I modded mine with a speaker out jack too - running into a 1x12 sounds pretty nice to me. It is a simple mod to do this and overcomes the limitations of the tiny speaker - really quite pleasantly surprised by the result and so did the same with an Orange Crush 3.

What impresses me most is that you can lease one through Musicians Friend.

Cool little noise maker. I had one years ago which served its purpose.
I now have a Honeytone I am very pleased with. I take it with when pawn shopping, yard salin', etc.
