...... it just occurred to me how much I miss Letterman.

So here goes: My Top Ten Reasons I’m going to buy another cheap guitar that I probably don’t need.

    10. It’s a short scale offset.

    09. It’s lightweight.

    08. It’s brand new and I’m not!

    07. It’s only $149.00.

    06. It’s going to be easy and fun to mod.

    05. It’s in stock and ready to ship free from a Fender warehouse less than 100 miles away.

    04. It’s got a big ugly CBS headstock.

    03. It’s a bad, black weapon of mass destruction with a chrom-ie looking control plate.

    02. It’s been a nearly a week since I had a New Guitar Day.

    And the number one reason

    01. According to every on-line seller, it’s “perfect for the raucous sound of indie music”.
(well maybe not so much this one.... but a little anyway)

That photo is a mock up, it's not 100% accurate....

the bullet series isn't going to have those bridge saddles or truss rod surround or tuners, etc....or that headstock logo....

    Can't wait to see it!

The real one will look like this...topload hardtail bridge, etc...

If it only had P90s like the Fender version, I'd be sorely tempted.

Letterman would throw the index card behind him to the sound effect of shattering glass. Don't do that with your computer - it won't be a sound effect.

    HNGD!

I have a set of Rose HB sized P90 / JM pups that I had in another guitar for a while that I'm going to try in it if everything else about the guitar is fine.

    Black Velvet and Mozart.

Maybe not right away. I may be on my own this week for pics... but eventually, yeah. He'll be back late next week. I should have the guitar by the weekend.

you'll have to modify the pickguard, the humbucker cutout edges are 'fat strat' rounded style on the Bullet Mustang HH....uncovered pickups would fit without modification

For me your #'s 4, 3, and 1 would be on my top ten list for not getting one. The other numbers would be on my list to get one.

Yeah, 3 & 1 are meant to be taken "tongue in cheek" and 4, well, Fender Mustangs have bigger, uglier headstocks (their uglier to me anyway). All of my guitars can't be small headstocks with the spaghetti logo, even if it's my favorite look. I sure do like it on my new Fender Duo-Sonic though. It's that guitar that has rekindled my love for shorter scale guitars lately.

The dimensions of these Rose pickups are approximately 70mm x 35mm... as are all of the 17 humbuckers that I have on hand here (without the mounting ring of course).
Not that modifying a pickguard is an issue, but I guess I'm not following what your saying.

I doubt it. It was taken when they were first bought.
