    Read more, looks like you were talking about Fenders Texas Specials. Its only a matter of time they will either jack up the price or change the pickups for some kind of anniversary special..lol..

    btw that Lawrence was a thought of mine recently coz the one I have in the melody maker.. I think its a ls500 but my ignant arse has never checked for it..What do you think about the Lawrence Doug?

    Indeed, I am saying that. The modern ones are more mellow. The Tex Mex is currently made closer to the tolerances of the original texas special.

    I love Lawrence pickups, but I've only tried the original ones, not the newer ones made by Bill and Becky. The L500 is the HB, the SC sized with a single blade is the L250. They both used to come in cream or black, but lately I've only seen black, at least on the L250
