She did pretty well. Took to the pick right away. Expect she will be out playing me in no time.
Awesome Once she's get's it going, post some sound / vid. We'd love to hear it.
teach me too, would ya?
Awesome. She'll be Chugging some Metallica before you know it.
That might turn out to be a lot of fun. In decades past, my wife would at least play a few chords on a guitar, but now that I have several really nice ones she won't touch them.
I really think she's showing an interest so I will play more. Plus, we both just retired and finally have the time. It's those dang jobs that get in the way of fun!
BTW: She picked my nicest guitar to play. I think she knows more than she is letting on.
Get her one of her own. Maybe an Affinity, or Bullet ... something that fits her. Let her pick out the colors and make it a project.
Oh! I wish. I offered to take Ann and have her pick one out of her own, but Noooooo! She wants the one I was planning to sell and could purchase both an Affinity and Bullet with the money.
lol... my wife has zero musical ability... just glad she enables my GAS.
I've practiced the 12-bar a LOT and have it down real good. Remember, I'm Keef-style,5-string open g barre. I think it's something I knew before, but practicing it so much, becoming fairly proficient at it, I'm really starting to hear it EVERYWHERE. Almost everything is the 12-bar...
Your woman picking the blues sounds like bad news !
THAT ... is never going to happen at my house.
That's pretty awesome. She will be teaching you some things pretty soon. If she hasn't already!
Yes it is everywhere. Been twisted and turned every which way for how long now? Starting with Rock-a-Billy two string chords, add a blues shuffle feel, and your able to play something cool and useful on your first day!
Because you're not married?
31 years on my second marriage now.
