I am trying to identify this guitar. The label on the back of the headstock says "Stratocaster- made in Indonesia", but the neck and body are obviously not a Squier. The fretboard looks like a Jackson, but the headstock does not. Probably a partscaster, I guess. I am only posting a Jackson in a Squier forum because you guys (and gals) always seem to know the answer to any Squier Q I have. If you can identify this or point me to a resource that could help me that would be great. Thanks!
That neck looks like any generic neck, and it's not from ANY stratocaster. Looks like the whole thing might be a knockoff/counterfeit/AliExpress Special The decal on the Body says "Jackson Made in USA" and that isn't true either And the fretboard looks like a monoprice or glarry mystery material
Yep, it's not a Jackson. They don't have that headstock shape, and their bodies don't have their logo on them. They also don't make any with an HSH pickup configuration, only HSS and HH. It's a cheap fake.
I figured it was either (most likely) a fake or some special edition that I had never seen before. Thanks!
The headstock is shaped like an ibanez, but is definitely not an ibanez. The logo isnt on the headstock, only the body... its definitely an aliexpress guitar. Sometimes they're worth doing the fretwork and pickup swap for a cheap player, but something about these pictures tell me this one is definitely not worth the hassle, even if it was too cheap to say no, I would still pass on it.
Not even the "Jackson" logo is made by Jackson, this whole thing is fake. That body is positively NOT from Jackson, it's not their iconic Dinky shape.
Fender would never allow anything to say "Stratocaster" that so clearly and obviously was not a Stratocaster.
I agree with everyone that something ain’t right. But it seems odd to me that the Stratocaster logo is on the back of the headstock. And it says “Made in Indonesia”. Why would either of those have been done on a fake? It kind of defeats the whole principle of a fake. I wonder if this was some kind of promo guitar that someone put a Jackson logo on the body after they received the guitar.
The headstock alone is enough to know its not a Jackson guitar. The pickup configuration is another thing. Jackson does not do that. I think that guitar is an old Ibanez Road Star copy. So many things are wrong about that guitar. Jackson does make a "Stratocaster" though. The Adrian Smith models.
