A local pawn shop had this for sale at $69 last Friday and I resisted. The price was scheduled to drop to $55 on 12/30, and I was waffling about it all weekend. I went back after work Monday and they gave me the price it was scheduled to drop to in February, $44. The nut blocks and screws, bar and one of the lock screws were missing, but I happened to have all of these in my parts drawer. A clean-up and a setup later, here it is. I need to determine the cause of some tuning instability. If need be, I'll drop in a Gotoh bridge. Love the neck on this guy!

I don't love Photobucket though. :( Uploading the photo directly to your post with the "upload a file" button will work a lot better.

    Welcome to the board!

I have found with the floyd rose that other than being setup to zero point the 2 things that will cause it to get out of tune at the knife edge being warn out or the springs are just junk. I had a brand new LTD that would not stay in tune and put new GOOD springs in it and it worked perfect. But being older it could be the knife edge. Look at the posts and floyd where the two meet and see if it looks warn or messed up. if not there get some good springs for a Floyd Rose. Just a couple ideas. Good luck.

Yeah, I need to look at the knife edges closer. I have extra springs I can try, too. I'm used to OFR from the '80s - haven't messed with licensed versions in many years, but here I am.

I guess I should post some more Squier pics. My first good guitar was an '86 HH Contemporary Strat MIJ that I bought new back then. I have one of those again and a couple of Classic Vibe models besides this Stagemaster. And I love Floyds!

Nice score! And you can't complain about that price. I have the same one in black. I think I'm going to put a stop on mine so the trem only works one way, much more stable that way. I love the floyd, but the tunning can be a headache.
