    So, there is a thread in the wanted section in regards to someone wanting one of these. But from what I can gather the guy (Ian Rich Control Plate) that was making them no longer does. I can get some prices on getting some made up. Laser cut same thickness, chrome plated.
    Anyone interested?
    The knobs would be drawn inwards towards the one end and then a slot and holes for a 5-way added towards the forward portion.;

    If I had a 51, I'd definitely be up for one.

    If the price stays the range where I can afford it L.A, I should be in the market in about a week to a month or so.

    Sadly, it seems the response in the end was lukewarm, at best.

    No supply if there ain't demand ;)

    The 51, I just traded for has already been (partially) modded. It is a volume and a LP style pickup selector.

    My thoughts, barring the full modified control plate would be to use a concentric two part pot, much as apparently the Fender Jazz has on some versions, i.e. the volume and tone on the same concentric knob. Not as convenient as two knobs and a selector, but better than no tone at all.

    BTW, the concentric pot idea is not mine. There is a guy on evil bay selling them as DIY kits with diagrams; $60 for about $18 worth of parts (Concentric pot & concentric knobs) and a diagram.
