The Classic Vibe Tele Custom is a much better guitar.....just not worth that much....

I'd rather the CV. That is a sexy double bound mofo. And I usually don't like colored headstocks. But that is sharp. You'd need a Tux to play it on stage though.

Why not for you? One is a high end guitar with a gloss vintage style finish (the Squier) and top of the line style alnico V pickups.....the other is a mid level kind of overpriced for what it is guitar, the FGN. The FGN has lower end pickups, and a barely there finish on the neck that feels like bare wood....

I'm being lazy by asking you this, but.... What year (s) were these put out? I don't recall ever seeing anything about them. It's like they started with a John5 and took it traditional.

Around 2012 or 2013. They are an FSR model in black with white binding and matching headstock with silver logo.....limited to only certain retailers. A lot less of them around than regular sunburst CVCs. There was also an opposite model one in white with black binding....

Only seen them in Canada and UK/Europe when new, not the USA I don't think....

it's only 11 bucks - I do like the way it is - not sure I'm keeping it yet anyway - I have it on approval ! Doesn't sound like a tele.
