I am ADD combined with obsessive/compulsive, hence very often I have many irons in the fire at once.

This also continues with guitar building.

So today, a side project I am working on is a sandwich construction prototype. Telecaster shape, skeleton cutout core, added 1/8th top and bottom. Because it's a protp, it's gonna be simple, just a single pup, MAYBE 2 dogear P90's.

It is thin, so a regular 3-way switch is right out.

Someone tell me about toggles. Wiring/electronics are not my forte. I'd want the same operation as a std 3-way. What do I need? SPDT? DPDT?, and a simple diagram would help. I'm taking pots from a tele control plate.

Could you use a more shallow LP style 3 way?

Is that the 'open' type switch?

I was thinking of the enclosed box style when I commented.

Your going w a toggle instead of a 3 way switch, correct? If so why, and will you be putting the 3 way LP switch in the control cavity?

A number of my builds are on the thin side and there can be cavity depth issues...
