I agree, I'd like it a lot more with a rosewood board than a maple one painted purple sparkle. They could keep the purple neck and lose the purple fretboard, but it's gotta be rosewood or ebony. A maple fretboard would ruin it.

I agree, the purple fretboard makes it look more like a toy guitar. It's literally a tossup between a rosewood or ebony fretboard for me, either is equally fine. Maple doesn't match well with deeper purples, especially if it's also pearl/metallic/flake.

I saw that strat the other day on a Fenix forum; apparently they made some models pretty damn close to that years ago. I don't know if you guys are aware of Fenix guitars but it's kinda funny they had some shady dealings with undercutting Fender with copies and now unknowingly Fender has got them back lol! I do love that paint job but like you guys said, the neck is too much.

YUP, I'd keep the body and ditch the neck in favor of one with a rosewood or ebony fretboard with a matching purple metallic burst on neck back and headstock front (headstock back be solid black).
