A friend of mine recently purchased this Ibanez G10 for $20, just two days ago. He now wants to sell it , he said for me $40. Should I pull the plug for $40. I may do another guitar wrap on it if I buy it. Hmmmmm. Your votes count. I have 57 guitars currently. I'm outta my mind.

I voted no only because he's charging you DOUBLE. Offer $20 or walk...

Otherwise, you already have 57 guitars, so another ain't gonna be a problem, I would think.

    Anyway, $40, no. $20, yes.

I'd like to know if I do buy it l, can I fill in the neck and middle pickup cavitys and make it just a one Humbucker with no pickguard?, because I'm going to do a guitar skin. I have so many really good bridge pickups I can slap into this guitar and make it a killer guitar.

There was a Takamine EG530 in Staten Island yesterday. I couldn't get out there in time.

If I ran across it for $40 in my travels, I would probably buy it.

This arrangement sounds a bit dodgy to me, even if its relatively inexpensive. I might offer $30 for him finding it just to be nice.

No. That's $40 gone and how much more to make it playable?

I voted yes because for 40 bucks why not? You could flip it for $60 if you find you don't like it.

You could check it out. If it plays better than any of the guitars you already have, you could buy it and sell the other guitar.

I can do some killer mods to this guitar. Its A good specimen to experiment with. As you know, I like experiments. Thinking of doing a classic horror film wrap. Maybe Frankenstein, the Mummy, or the Creature from the Black Lagoon wrap, they are my 3 fav classic horror classic movies.

    Kirk Hammetts Karloff Guitar.

And it's still worth more than $40. Why do you hate capitalism? At $5 a gallon for gas in NY and tolls etc I doubt he's making much if anything let alone being compensated for his time.

That being said if I had 57 guitars I wouldnt buy a junk Izbeenhad guitar unless I planned on flipping it or gifting it to a friend as a starter guitar. So I vote no.

I've heard some good things and reviews on these Ibanez Gio guitars. One is their playability, as it is a big reason. I also have so many good pickups that I can switch out, I can do maybe just a Seymour SH in the bridge, and exclude the other pickups.
So basically it's a no brainer for me. If the neck and playability is there, the rest will be cake. I like experiments. It bides my time.

My biggest complaint about the ones I have handled is they are heavy, and the stock pickups are awful. So you got that covered if you swap them out. The cheap Floyd Rose on other models is also a huge drawback, but with the Strat style you should be fine. I can never get the cheap locking nut clamps to hold the plain strings, especially the G without feeling like I am about to strip the threads out. Last time I used some 400 grit sandpaper to scuff the back side of the clamp up a bit. But that isnt an ideal fix imo.
