Couldn't find much by way of Google other than a wiki article, but it left me dead ended...I think. "Chinese & Taiwanese Squiers CY: C = China, Y = Yako (Taiwan), the serial number prefix is followed by a 2 number year. For example "CY97" = made by Yako in 1997." So with that rationality my bass with it's serial # starting with CY41 would've been made in 1941...I think not. Did they perhaps after 1999 drop the first digit of the year which would possibly make this an '04? Any help would be appreciated, i'm very un-knowledgeable in this category.
