There has been a serious shortage of Jacksons and ibanez here in WA State! Anyone see any nice guitars cheap?

I see them now and again. I think for the most part that style of guitar has largely fallen out of fashion in recent years and so there aren’t as many in the used market. They’re obviously still selling new, otherwise there wouldn’t be so many of them in GC every time I go in, but I rarely see them being played on the floor. It could be a regional thing, too. The bright side, it seems the shredder pointy guitars are gaining popularity now, so there may be some for sale used in the not too distant future.

Well what happens too all the used guitars? Someone has 20 of them I suppose! Back about 10 years ago I got an Ibanez RG750 for $150. Then again they did meet me in a white van...

2008 Cort VX-2V SVM Guitar with Hard Case - $450.00

Silver with carbon fiber scratch plate. No dings, dents, scratches, etc. All original.

This guitar comes with EMG-HZ H4's, which in my opinion are just the passive version of EMG 81's, they are high output, the tone is thick and solid, and the guitar is very light even though it is fairly thick. The licensed Floyd Rose on this guitar is surprisingly good, it holds it's tuning and the movement is smooth.

Cort VX-2V-SVM features a Rhoads inspired V shape Agathis body with EMG Passive humbuckers, a 5 piece Maple neck, a double locking III tremolo bridge and carbon fiber pickguard.

Includes a hard case fitted to guitar which is hard to find as it is not same spec as the Jackson RR V. No case will fit it except this ESP V case. Not pictured but it great shape.

This fantastic guitar is not only built for speed, it is constructed to last a lifetime of head banging revelation. Inspired by the famous Jackson Randy Rhoads, this Axe is much more aggressive with a longer fin, sharper edge lines, exotic silver sparkle finish and a much thicker body. At this price point, you will not get more guitar for the money. Get ready to "shred em' dead" and attract some serious attention. If you think that a Cort won't stand up to the challenge...THINK AGAIN! Side by side with a Jackson in the same price range, there is NO comparison. The Cort beats it by a landslide and then some. Make your friends envious and take your metal to the next level with this grotesquely magnificent display of aggression.

"...This Charvel is no exception, it’s a custom shop recreation of the famous 1981 Hot Rod Flames Guitar. It was specially ordered from overseas to have the Fender Stratocaster shaped headstock which was banned for the domestic US market. All the power and tone you could ask for is delivered with the vintage DiMarzio Super Distortion, it’s the 80s metal pickup. Playing could not be easier on the lightning fast oiled and waxed neck with super low action. Always stay in tune with the German Schaller-made Floyd Rose. This guitar has it all, quality hardware and looks (airbrush by Dan Lawrence!) for days.

Condition-wise, this thing is near perfect. Body has no major dings or scratches, frets are virtually untouched. The only noticeable wear is on the backplate. It’s been treated well and kept in its case, included are the original warranty cards and work order. The original Super Distortion was swapped out for a vintage 1981 model for that extra bit of tone and authenticity.

    Specs:
    Weight: 7lb 8oz (3.4kg)
    Nut Width: 1 11/16” (43mm)
    Neck @1st: .773” (79.5mm)
    Neck @12th: .832” (21mm)
    Scale Length: 25.5” (648mm)
    Fingerboard: Indian Rosewood
    Neck: Quartersawn Maple"

I love metal, just not into metal guitars ... unless it's a Gibson Explorer. :)

The re-sale value on metal guitars is very poor.

I see them all the time in West TN. There are at least 4 Ibanez guitars listed on FBM right now within 40 miles radius.

Well from my point of view most guitars I love are made out wood
    Not metal :D
But I do love certain Jacksons, Ibanez and Charvel

    :)
