I think my movie addiction has reached new heights/lows during this Corona period...
I've always loved feature films and will watch nearly anything...BUT...
this past couple of weeks I seem to be making some very bad choices...LOL :)

    #1) Yoga Hosers...Johnny Depp...-5 stars...just awful !!!
    #2) Dark Horse...Christopher Walken,Mia Farrow,Selma Blair...-4 stars...listed as a comedy but is about a whole bunch of depressing people...def not funny !!
    #3) Fred 3: Camp Fred...No known stars...-9 stars...quite possibly the worst film I've ever seen !!!
    #4) Filth...James McAvoy...-2 stars...Just bizarre...story about a Scottish cop looking for a promotion but...he's a drug addict and a sociopath...also listed as a comedy...def not funny !!

There have been a couple of others this month but these 4 really stand out...I wonder how they even got made really :(

I can, with 100% certainty, state that the worst movie I have ever tried to watch was "Hot Tub Time Machine III". It was SO bad that I quit trying to watch it after about 20 minutes o_O

They actually made a third one because the first two weren't bad enough?

Idk about that. Napoleon Dynamite was pretty awful. I know alot of people liked it but it was like torture watching it. I know it was on purpose but every single scene is just so awkward and with no real plot or punchline it relies on the awkwardness to carry the movie and ,at least for me, thats not enough keep me sitting for 90+ minutes.

"Bill and Ted Face The Music". I was so excited for that one, my first in theater movie of 2020....and it just flopped.

With all this staying at home, I finally agreed to watch the Marvel movies. Most of them were terrible. Never read comics growing up. One of the Thor movies was so bad with jokes that I knew within a few minutes it was awful. GOG, all of them, terrible.... and so on.

Not this year. Last bad movie I remember seeing was the last Star Wars movie.

A really memorably bad movie for me was Blues Brothers 2000. Absolutely awful. Imagine a porno movie, in which all the sex scenes were replaced with music video numbers. You have badly acted characters stumbling through a perfunctory excuse for a plot, in which the only reason any of it is happening is to get the characters into situations where the plot can grind to a screeching halt, the music can start up, and you get one of the scenes that provide the only reason anyone is watching.

And even those scenes were inferior to the original.

To go in the opposite direction, I'm not a fan of films based on comic books, but I loved the newest Harley Quinn movie- Birds of Prey! It was hysterical, and the whole cast was awesome, and Margot Robbie was not only the fabulous star of the show, but she also produced it.
But, maybe I have low standards, because I even like some of the bad murder mystery movies on Hallmark and the killer cheerleaders on Lifetime, lol. But, I try to stay on TCM as much as possible.
And, I've officially become an old codger, because I even like Matlock now!

Ah, yes! Hallmark movies: "The 'grindhouse' of happy thoughts"!

They are very popular and making big $$$ for Hallmark.

They cancelled Lori Loughlin's series of films after the admissions scandal. Jewel even has one- Fixer Upper Mysteries, where she's a contractor who always gets involved in a murder while she's renovating an old property.

Entertaining once you realize making a bad movie was their intent.
