That’s very sad. I guess the Midwest has been hammered by rough weather lately. My condolences to the loved ones of the fatality they mentioned in the article, and I hope there’s no more fatalities and that the injured all recover quickly.
I hope so, but the event's scheduled for 7pm and the incident happened at 745, so unfortunately I don't think so. Yes, it could've been worse, if I read it rightly, the worst of the collapse happened right at the edge of the stage front. Thankfully not in the center of where the crowd were standing, so the people further back should have better chance of avoiding the worst of the mess.
Yes, what happened in Belvidere wasn't pleasant. But things like that are the exception, not the rule. I expect the NYC show won't be as hazardous as what happened in Illinois. I doubt a tornado will rip thru the boroughs. So enjoy the NYC show, Eddie.
