This caught my eye a week ago on ebay. It was clean and drew a lot of watchers so I thought it would fetch a high price and I wasn't wrong. Alas, it's on it's way here. These are some of the listing photos. The seller is sending the original pickguard which I'll reinstall.

Happy New guitar day. The deluxe is a great guitar. I would keep that mint guard on it. Looks good.

Very nice, congrats! If I had a guitar bucket list one of these deluxes would be on it.

That’s one on my opportunity list! Piling onto the mint-green fan club.

  7. That's one of a very few I bought new in a retail store. Great guitar and the metallic pearl white is awesome along with the satin finish neck.
    Cheers, Barrie.

So, what other new guitars have you gotten in the last week besides the CV Strat, CV Tele, and this one?

I bought a Fiesta Red Bullet with an Indian Laurel fretboard, an Artic White Bullet Strat hard tail with Rosewood, and an HSS Natural Affinity Strat with Rosewood. I'm thinking that little red Bullet will be my daily driver, or the MIM purple/blue one if I can get that delivered tomorrow. ****, it looks terrible when I write it out like this.

So, the Strats outnumber the Teles 5 to 1. It looks like a MIM Tele should be next, lol. Or, maybe an Epi or four, haha.

Well, somebody here posted a TV yellow Epi Les Paul and I found myself going to Sweetwater saying, "yep need one of those . . ." Thankfully they are out of stock.

Another vote for the mint :)
It is a bit too frog like but leave it on a window ledge under the sun for a few days and it may well fade to a more realistic color.

I think everyone is out of stock. Gibson didn't anticipate how much people had been waiting for a real Epi set neck TV yellow LP Special with p90s.

I wish that Epiphone would make a non reverse Firebird with minis and a vibrola

Have you received the guitar yet?
    Is the condition of
it just as sweet as in the auction pics?

I received the guitar yesterday and was a little nervous opening the box. It was like a chorus of angels sang as I pulled it out - it was better than it looked in the pictures. It plays like a dream, it has sustain for days and will purr like a sophomore girl on prom night or bark like Cerberus, the mythical three-headed hound that guards the gates of Hell.

My Fender American Standard, Squier Classic Vibe, Korean, and MIM necks are nice, but they're like rotting snags of Arizona cacti in comparison. A couple times a year pre-COVID, friends had me sit it during their shows. I always bought a Fender or a Gibson out of insecurity. No more. This Squier is going, mint pickguard and all.
