What does "swimming pool rout" mean? Is that the perimeter shape of the body cut, or the top rout of the pickup cavity? I'd like to get a Mustang someday and set it up with Strat pups, 1 volume, 1 tone, and a blender. Possibly a stacked or push pull set up somehow.

Yknow, I'm wondering. Anyone care to enlighten me exactly what a Mustang is? It LOOKS like to me a shorter scale offset Telecaster/Jazzmaster cross with a longer body.

OK, you triggered me...
To me, a Mustang has phase switches and a vibrato.
These hardtail, toggle-jobs (to me) are Duo-Sonics.
But Kurdt never played no Duo-Sonic, so his followers don't want them, they don't sell, so what SHOULD be marketed as Duo-Sonics get marketed as Mustangs.
