I used to own this LP............... The only guitar I ever regretted selling but today I have just collected a replacement.......... Although this is a plus top pro the Epiphone pick ups and coil tap wiring loom have been replaced by a Gibson wiring loom (no coil tap) and a set of Gibson 490R/498T pickups. It is fitted with a set of Grover locking tuners and the seller included the original Grovers too. The pick guard was missing but I have one in my spares box which is an exact colour match to the pick up surrounds. I will also change the control knobs as I have a set of amber ones the same as my original Honeyburst. It is completely unmarked and looks brand new - it's a 2017. I'm leaving it quarantined and untouched for a few days before I put it through its paces.
NICE!!! Looks a lot like mine, except my speed knobs are dark amber, no switch ring or guard, and still has the stock Epi humbuckers (which may or may not be swapped out in the future, I can make them sound OK as is....my finish has gotten a lot darker over the years from sitting out on a stand for years(?) ... yours it should be pretty sweet with the Gibson pickups... enjoy. They seem to be very well built, honestly. I love Squiers and Epiphones!!! Although, I say skip the pickguard and peel the poker chip off
Miss Honey, along with my other Epi Miss Kitty the Wildkat... fun stuff....although, yeah Miss Kitty is needing strings....my saddles fell out when I pulled the strings to replace, have to figure roughly which goes where and see if I can buy a retaining wire for the bridge, or maybe just get a roller bridge, am in no hurry to decide, honestly
Beautiful grain! I say keep it quarantined, untouched and unpickguarded as well Those Gibson pups should make it purr and growl just fine.
Here's mine. It's a 1997 from the Unsung factory in Korea. It plays really great! I love this guitar!
HNGD! Love the honeyburst. Sweet upgrades too. I have never known if mine was honeyburst or desert burst. Seeing your I must believe mine is the latter. I debated the age old LP question: PG or no PG? Mine is so purty I chose not to hide any of her. Clear PG. Rock that baby and enjoy!
HNGD!! The top on your new guitar is even nicer than the top on the one you used to have, really stunning!
A real beauty. Happy new Epi day! I love my Standard in iced tea burst. I put Gibson Classic 57/57+ in it.
If I was to get another LP, it would have to be natural like most of those above. This ! You HAVE to find/make a clear bracket. Go see your local glaziery (glass store), they usually sell Lexan (polycarbonate) and they surely will have scrap pieces you can use. You can fold polycarbonate to 90° and it won't break or crack.
Very nice! Not sure if I prefer it with/out the PG and poker chip. Dave Menikettti shows what happens when you misplace the pick guard:
