I can’t tell if this is 2019 or 2020 telejust bought a new butterscotch blonde affinity in Hong Kong. However I can't tell whether it is 2019 or 2020 version.

It has the 2019 more orange tint rather than the newer 2020 lighter colour. Its pickup height is not adjustable unlike 2020 version. It is top load unlike the 2020 version's string through.

But its serial number starts with 20. Its headstock spells the full "telecaster" not just "tele". It is full 1.75 inch thickness (I think).

Btw if anyone can decode this serial number please let me know. I've never seen a serial number start with CYKH.

    Thanks guys. 09AAB606-2AAD-4FF1-A600-7448E70A4D75.jpeg 1829CF7C-4EF9-4EFF-8784-8AA4117582BA.jpeg DB512DAF-F17B-4064-9D8D-58766C111FF4.jpeg

The serial number starts with 20, which means it's a 2020 model. As for it being a top loader rather than a string through, there must have been some older bodies that they wanted to use up. Even in the days of Leo, when some changes were made, you'd see guitars made during the transition period that had a mix of the new and old features. As for the Letter prefix, I believe the C means China and the Y means the Yako factory, but I could be wrong. As far as the other two letters, I think they're maybe used by Fender for tracking purposes.

I don't know the answer to your question. I would point out that the neck pickup height is adjustable, as it is mounted to the body with two wood screws. You remove the pickguard to access them.

Nice guitar and welcome to Squire Talk!

I had to vote "neither" because there was no "both" on there.
It's most likely 2019, but manufactured after June making it eligible for a 2020 serial number.
That's just a guess, based on how manufacturers of other products date things.
