Picked up this 83' Squier CST 50 i believe. Took a chance on it, neck may be an issue. Has a back bow. Nut is backed off all the way. Hoping to make it usable or salvage it, as its a beautiful looking neck. Ok, but back to my question.

Everything looks original on the guitar. But there is no stamp in the neck pocket or markings
Also noticed no holes where they hang em up.

Is this normal on some? My others have a stamp and the holes.

These are from a guitar that I sold, but hopefully the help for comparison sake.

It's normal. I have an '84 Strat with no neck date or markings. I'm the original owner.

Great to hear and see. Now I'm gonna finish cleaning it up and hoping a good set up can fix the neck / buzz issues.

Huh. Never knew they made a Squier with an adjustable neck.
    Beautiful neck.
Wouldn't you expect it to have a back-bow if the truss rod was backed off all the way?

Adjustable neck? Do you mean micro tilt? It's no different than using a shim for neck angle - has nothing to do with the truss rod/relief though.....

That's a lovely looking neck, I would be tempted to strip the hardware off it, loose off the truss and clamp it to a work bench for a few days to see if it takes the bow out of it..

Um, truss rods impart back bow as you tighten them, to counteract the pull of the strings...

Yup. Couldn’t think of the Fender term micro-tilt. Thanks for the clarification.
