Sounds like a good plan!
This is a cool thing to do, I would have entered if I lived closer.
@vinbur is in from Nebraska, just ahead of Iowa.
@drewcp made it in Minnesota.
The list fattened up a bit and will go in the mail Saturday Sept 19, Tomorrow.
Here is a hint to do before shipping. Do not pull the paper sticky cover off and "seal" the box. It is easier to just cut the tape with a razor knife and open it. I will mark that as TOP when I send it. Bottom is sealed with the sticky.
Off we go,
Into the wild blue yonder,
Riding high into the sun... (SUN) not sky!
Anybody know this song?
I don't believe the original box will make it all around ( they get too weak ) - I may have to go to a lrg box but we can always reduce back to a medium - let the games begin - incoming pic's only - no out going - keep the mystery a mystery !
Good work Mr. Yeats !
I would like to be in on this I have stuff I dont use.
Last minute entry is @Jay Jackson in CA
I really can take no more entries as I am going to the PO soon to get it going.
Here is the first track # going to NY and @Kenneth Mountain ...
Lyrics to USAF theme song...New verses have since been added, these lines are the original.
Off we go into the wild blue yonder,
Climbing high into the sun;
Here they come zooming to meet our thunder,
At ‘em now, Give 'em the gun!
Down we dive, spouting our flame from under,
Off with one helluva roar!
We live in fame or go down in flame. Hey!
Nothing'll stop the U.S. Air Force!
My favorite jet
It was originally the "Army" Air Corps..From when it was a branch
the U.S.Army..My brother-in -law was serving when it was changed...Chopper pilot..
Yes, we bring the napalm, the tank busters, and keep those pesky Migs away from our grunts.
My favorite tank buster.... The Warthog.
A maintenance shop I worked in at Ft Bragg was just across the road from Pope AFB runways. A-10s, F-16s, C-130s, C-141s, C-5s took off all day overhead, literally shaking the shop. The C-17 was being tested for paratrooper modifications at that time.
The A10 Warthog--proof that with a big enough engine, even a brick can fly.
A brick carrying a 30mm gatling gun.
The Box arrived safe and sound on Wed. I took a peek on thursday after work - Mr. Yeats really started this one right I tell you !
Out of all the things in it - there are only 4 I can't use ? ( uncanny )
I'm making some tough decisions and getting ready to say good bye ! Kudos Mr. Yeats ! !
