My New Polee Guitar Neck

I needed an inexpensive neck for one of my builds so I tried several outlets. I ordered two GuitarFetish (unfinished) for around 60 ea. One of them was pretty OK other than having the truss rod access drilled quite crooked. But it works and plays good without my needing to do any fret work on it as of this time.
However, I am not a fan of small frets and both necks have relatively small frets. The other neck even has a back bow from the 1st to the 6th fret. Then what I never have seen before is a backbow from the 8th fret to the 22nd fret. UTTERLY WORTHLESS other than for firewood or high action beginners. BUMMERS
For that reason I went searching for necks at all the partscaster outlets. They were so overpriced, in my opinion, so I went to see what Amazon had to offer. I found a neck by Polee Tele for under $60. They claim it works on a Tele or a Strat. I wasn't expecting a lot of neck for that price, but when I opened the box I was set back at the quality. It has 22 large frets that I love, and the finish and construction are flawless. As far as looks it could go on a high priced guitar. I have not installed it yet but Polee will be my go to neck outlet if it plays as good as it looks. I'm almost speechless, what a great looking neck at such a low price.

Glad you found an incredibly cheap neck that works for you. There's a good lesson here too: Never expect Guitarfetish products to be anything but bottom-of-the-barrel Chinese reject parts.

"They claim it works on a Tele or a Strat."
Then it is a Strat neck, which will fit either. But a Strat neck looks weird on a Tele because of the curved end by the neck pickup. It's not a problem, but I am wary of any factory that claims that the fact that you can put any Strat neck on a Tele is a feature. It's a Strat neck. If it were cut like a Tele neck, it wouldn't fit a Strat.

Air neck.
Normally, I would agree with you guys… BUT he did say it was on Amazon, AND said the brand, so in three seconds of searching you can find their products:

When I posted I copied and pasted the link. When I did that it didn't show up and a large blank space was where the link should be. For that reason I pasted the description which when copied and pasted intoyour browser will take you there.

No. It is a square Tele heel. But I have put Tele necks on every Strat I own except one without any modification to the neck or body, because I think it makes the Strat look more streamlined. The only thing is they leave a tiny gap (the curve at the end of the pocket) but the 22nd fret overhang hides that, so no big deal to me. All but one of these have Tele necks on them. I put Warmoth Tele necks on Warmoth Strat bodies all the time. In the pic is a purple Guitarfetish body with an alparts Tele neck on it. No routing on the body or neck. Intonation is right on with out any problems. I posted detailed pics of a Tele neck being put on a Strat body twice on either Strat talk or here on this site. I can't find the links but I tried. Here are some of my Strat bodies with Tele necks on them. When I asked a Warmoth rep why they say a Tele neck won't fit a Strat he said "Because it leaves a gap" Who cares if you can set the intonation properly, and you can. This Polee Tele neck was bought for a Strat body that I am working on. The curve in the body goes beyond where a Tele neck ends so the Tele neck stops at the curve and intonation is not a problem.

Edit to add link. Here is a Tele neck on a Strat showing neck heel and pocket. I can't believe how many people on these forums can't believe their lying eyes. They see 6 of my strats with Tele necks obn them and still say it cant be done. How brilliant is that?

Tele neck on Strat.

The body heel pocket on my latest partscaster fit either the 50's strat or the VM tele neck I had waiting in the wings. I went with a strat neck for this build. I ordered another body and may go with the tele neck this time.

I found these necks earlier today on Amazon and I'm curious about them. So, I have a couple of quick questions about this neck.
1) Have you had a chance to install it, or better yet, play it?
2) Can it be stained and poly'd?

It comes with a finish on it AND it has a bone nut. It is the typical aged yellow neck that is so popular. I haven't put it on a guitar yet so I can't tell you how good the fretwork is. The neck looks great and at that price it would be hard to go wrong. I'll post when I have it mounted and have played it for a while. The workmanship is quite impressive at any price, I hope that goes all the way through in the play ability. Thanks again for the Tat.
