Wow, it really looks alike!
Robusta with buff beauty in the bridge. Pretty much the most basic Ken does. Given the compound 10-16 radius of warmoth fretboard, went with unstaggered set. Have to mention, though, waiting time was enormous ( won't go into details in this thread ).
Nope, baked maple neck and regular alder body (two-piece). I think walnut is much darker, with more pronounced grain. That's how the alder body looked unfinished:
It's been a while, but better late than never. Here is how it sounds with Rose Robusta set (with Buff Beauty in the bridge). Scuttle Buttin is all played on Buff Beauty with slightly rolled off treble.
Gorgeous guitar which sounds fantastic!! Excellent playing, by the way!
Lots of SRV's but also Hendrix's tones imho. No harshness at all, lots of chime and charm!
Thanks a lot for taking the time to make this thread. I would love to see more photos / listen to more videos (esp. the Buff Beauty + Robusta bridge and middle combo, and the robusta middle and neck). Rock on!!
Really nice job and great playing, Barber76!
@barber76 What amp do you use with your great toffee guitar?
Boss Katana mic'd in 0.5W mode. 0.5W mode is a blessing for late night play.
