This really couldn't be further from guitar related discussion
I had Moderna too. Nothing at all with first dose, slight arm soreness at injection site for the second one, similar to any flu vaccine, etc. No other detectable effects. My wife had the same regimen a day after me, and had no effects from the first dose, but the second shot knocked her down for over a day.
Yep buddy, and that's why it's in VC's parlor thread
That was my experience. Nothing but a sore arm with the first shot. With the second one I got I bit sleepy the first evening. Felt fine the next morning then fever, chills achy for about 6 hours that afternoon. Glad I scheduled the day off.
I’m lucky, I felt completely fine after both Pfizer doses. Just a little soreness from the actual injection but didn’t slow me down a bit.
Thanks, Mr Obvious!
VCs stuff often is at least somewhat music related, and the track record of C19 related discussions here hasn't been great. Why even go there? I don't go to vaccine forums to discuss guitars!
Relax buddy, have vaccin !!!
I got both Moderna nothing on the first and on the 2nd got flu like symptoms that lasted 24hrs.
I guess the symptoms means it's working. But what do I know?
Had both Pfizer shots. 1st zero issues. 2nd had a slight fever and headache for about 12 hours. Fine after that. Small price to pay for , hopefully, better protection.
update, brother already feeling better. finally ate something so he was able to take analgesic without upsetting stomach further. He's actually out for a walk as I type.
I'm getting my second shot Saturday so i'm not planning on doing much Sunday. Rest hydrate tylenol. maybe a gummy or two throughout the day
My first shot was fine.
Monday (2 days ago) I got my second moderna shot. I was fine Monday. Tuesday, it kicked my butt. BAD. Flu like symptoms, chills, 100.1 degree fever, couldn’t eat and my blood sugar was between 345 and 415. I was dizzy and weak. It was like a migraine, without the pain. Today, three days after the second shot, I’m 95% back to normal.
I had the pfizer. First shot I had nothing, 2nd I knew I was going to have issues because the Air Force major that adminstered it stuck me and I could feel the needle moving around in my arm. I had arm soreness, especially if I raised it too far for about 24 hours and roughly 30 minutes after the shot I had about a half hour of tingling/numbness in the arm.
Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that news. I hope he feels better soon.
I personally won't be taking any of these Covid shots. I had Covid last February 2020. I was in bed for 2 weeks. I felt so wiped out.
Wow, so how come they don't mention this on the news? You think they would.
First shot was nothing. Yesterday was second shot. Pfizer. Kind of an ass-kicker. Fine by me.
I do needles very well. Never an issue. But my first shot (Pfizer) had my whole upper arm ache for a day. The following day I was lethargic. I’m a fair size fella and like to think that I’m pretty sturdy, but my eighty-four year old mother-in-law of average build had hers the same day and had zero side effects. Now she thinks she’s tougher than me. Awaiting my second shot.
We both had Covid in December. This is to help keep us from getting sick again down the road and possibly infecting others. A day or two of discomfort compared to what the real deal, is a small price to pay to protect those around us.
