Normally I'd say the dome knobs, but I kinda like the look of those Strat knobs... I think they work well with the natural finish of the body.

I like fender style amp knobs on a tele. Not that you gave that as a choice

Gold or amber speed knobs would be even better than the black ones. They would go well with the brass saddles and ash body. Gold Gibson tophats would be cool too.

They’re split shafts. It’s what I have on hand.

That is looking great! Nice work so far.

As far as the knobs go, I like the Strat knobs the best. I wouldn’t have thought that would be my choice, but like @Rick-T137 said, they just work really well with the colors you have.

I am looking forward to seeing this one get finished.

Got some wiring done and it’s lookin g good. The more of these I do the better they look.

I’m concerned about my string ferrules. I know they have to be slightly larger the the Joel’s they go in but mine feel too big and I’m not sure I wanna just put them in. I took some measurement and would like some feedback.

Am I good to install or should I use sandpaper and a dowel to open these holes up a bit?

Decided on the black Strat knobs. Control plate on for dry fit. Still deciding if I’m gonna copper tape the cavities.

I mounted the neck from my white strat on the Mattocaster and learned a couple things.
1. Going with a maple board was a good choice. Rosewood didn’t look good with this body.
2. With the bridge lined up with the through holes. The scale is spot on. Also there is. No no lateral movement allowable at that position. Does that mean I can use the through holes as a guide to drill the mount holes? Or would it be best to wait for the new neck and do both at the same time.
